Christmas for Everyone App

The Christmas for Everyone program is a program that serves 1000 children and almost 500 parents each year. This was a paper process that resulted in hours of data entry for volunteers. Parents would come into the church and fill out paperwork to register their children for the program during registration days. Volunteers would check paperwork while interacting with parents, then turn it in at the end of the day for volunteers to enter into a spreadsheet.

The goal was to save time by entering and updating data while working with the parent, thus eliminating data entry. 

Project Specifics

The Solution

In order to turn a paper process into an electronic process - it was decided that an online application would need to be developed. Volunteers would need laptops to register parents by accessing a portal that contained the previous years data. They were able to search for any previous years parents, as well as enter new parents into a submission form.
